Competition is fiercer than ever. Just one example: A decade ago, you could ascend Amazon\u2019s organic rankings without advertising at all. Those days are gone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019re a brand or an agency, that means the name of the game these days is differentiation. Everyone\u2019s asking: How do I stand out in a crowded marketplace?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fundamental desire to stand out is the same, but exactly what differentiation looks like depends on who you are.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For agencies<\/strong>, differentiation is about offering your clients access to unique insights and strategies that others cannot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For brands<\/strong>, maybe it\u2019s about building and discovering new audiences, and finding new ways to reach customers before your competitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many ways to differentiate yourself on Amazon, whether that\u2019s leveraging Amazon\u2019s new analytics tools, or figuring out how to supercharge performance from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intentwise.com\/blog\/ad-performance-optimization\/brand-tailored-promotions-explained-tips-best-practices\/\">Brand Tailored Promotions<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For brands, consider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intentwise.com\/blog\/ad-optimization\/amazon-marketing-stream-a-new-paradigm-in-amazon-search-ads\/\">dayparting with Amazon Marketing Stream<\/a> to capture sales at specific times when your competitors aren\u2019t. The list goes on and on.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, of course, there\u2019s Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-amc-is-the-great-differentiator-nbsp\"><strong>Why AMC is the great differentiator&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve subscribed to this newsletter for a while, you know we\u2019ve been talking a lot about AMC lately. That\u2019s for two reasons:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First<\/strong>, we believe that AMC can be a powerful differentiator for both brands and agencies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding your New-to-Brand metrics through AMC, for example, means you can identify overlooked products or ad campaigns that drive incremental growth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Life-Time Value metrics, meanwhile, allow you to run smarter ad campaigns. Queries have to be activated manually, one by one. If you\u2019re an agency, you have to repeat this process for every instance you manage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s say you want to run the same query every week or every month. Next, you have to download every query result as a .CSV file, then stitch it together by hand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intentwise Explore will automatically pipe that output into an industry-standard warehouse for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what if you want to graph or visualize those results? AMC outputs can be massive, especially when you are mapping out, say, shopper paths to purchase. You have to extract the data on your sub-brands from the result of that account-level query manually.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might already be doing this by maintaining a strict naming convention for campaigns. But that can get messy quickly, especially with the complexities of AMC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We simplified the process. We maintain a map of ad campaigns to your sub-brands behind the scenes.
