{"id":194,"date":"2017-02-18T23:07:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T17:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/intentwise.com\/blog\/?p=194"},"modified":"2024-02-06T06:58:01","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T14:58:01","slug":"getting-things-done-gtd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intentwise.com\/blog\/management\/getting-things-done-gtd\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting Things Done (GTD) at Intentwise","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One of the motivational factors here at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intentwise.com\/\">Intentwise<\/a> is the boundary that we work within by dividing tasks daily, or on a weekly and monthly\u00a0basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We follow the three-task&nbsp;rule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 tasks on a daily&nbsp;basis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tasks on a weekly&nbsp;basis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 long term tasks on a monthly&nbsp;basis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This forces prioritization and re-prioritization on a regular basis so that at any given point, the task at hand is always important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following <a href=\"https:\/\/gettingthingsdone.com\/\">Getting Things Done (GTD)<\/a> in our workflow has helped us to be more focused, relaxed, and less stressed as we work on an incremental process. We strongly believe that \u201cCreativity Needs a Clear Mind\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/intentwise.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/GTD-Philosophy.jpeg\" alt=\"GTD Philosophy\" class=\"wp-image-1319 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are three simple steps in getting things done on a regular&nbsp;basis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Capture:<\/strong> collect things that catch your attention\u200a\u2014\u200asmall or big, personal or professional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organize: <\/strong>things that are actually needed and put it into action where they really&nbsp;belong<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review:<\/strong> everything thoroughly and frequently to catch missteps and&nbsp;misses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Repeat these to achieve the goal in a long-term.
